Sheila’s weekly update: 27 January 2023 – thinking not doing . . .

So this week has been another busy one. More in terms of thinking than doing, which isn’t a bad thing. You don’t need to be making things all the time, it’s just as important to spend time thinking, reflecting and researching. I had my first group crit session this week for my course. It was intense, interesting and inspiring all in equal measure. It was great to get to know some of the other artists more and find out more about their processes and inspirations. From the feedback I got I’ve been discovering new (to me ) artists and thinking about what inspires me. Most of my work is 2-D but I’m now thinking about trying a little bit of 3-D . . . so have started to have a play -which is always a good way to start things I think.
